The announcement was made during IBC 2012 in Hall 8 on Stand D56, where HHB and Mogami are co-exhibiting. The new Mogami Mini Jack cables are offered in a variety of lengths with XLR, ¼” jack and phono connections terminated with gold-plated Neutrik contacts. The cables and connectors are extremely durable and suitable for interconnections between an iPod/MP3 player to a mixer, active speakers or other audio device.

Mogami cables are truly a ‘Cable for Life’, backed by a lifetime warranty. The cables and connectors are hand soldiered rather than crimped, which also means they are repairable. They are all made from Mogami’s bulk cable and assembled in the UK with packaging made from 90% recycled materials.

The unique manufacturing processes developed by Mogami make it possible to execute over 3,500 types of cables in their factory in Nagano, Japan. This enables them to design the most suitable cable configuration for each application and produce extremely efficient products without any unnecessary waste.
The Mogami factory was moved to the countryside of Shiojiri City in Nagano in 1967 and was completely rebuilt in 2002. It now stands as a testament to technological ingenuity and innovation. All of the advanced automation processes as well as production, installation and software design were developed in-house, making it extremely energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

And although Mogami is a leading manufacturer of professional audio cabling, there are numerous applications that the company produces cables for, including cable for medical equipment, landslide research, industrial robots, and surveillance camera cable for use inside pools at nuclear power plants.

HHB International Sales Manager Matthew Fletcher comments: “The innovative production techniques and efficiency of the Mogami factory make it possible to create the best cable for the job, big or small. The new Mini Jack Cables are no exception as they were custom designed by Mogami to provide durability and superior audio transmission.”

Visitors are invited to the HHB stand for a Mogami product demo and to pick up a free copy of the HHB 2012 Catalogue and the new Broadcast Sound Technology Update brochure.
