This month Avid have released updates for both Pro Tools and EUCON with Pro Tools offering a host of new free plugins and updates and EUCON sees several improvements. Pro Tools 2025.10 introduces Sony 360 Reality Audio spatial music mixing and delivery (not to be confused with Sony 360VME), a new integrated SoundFlow panel to automate and accelerate a range of workflows, and Speech-to-Text enhancements to more efficiently analyse speech and lyric information. Inner Circle, available to annual subscribers and customers with active perpetual upgrade plans, has added an impressive list of new plugins and sounds. 2025.10 Key Enhancements
Avid continue to improve upon features, workflow, and UX in this release with several helpful updates. Speech-to-Text has been enhanced specifically around transcription correction, separating clips by word/sentence/speaker, and offline/batch transcription (this is currently only available in Pro Tools Studio and Ultimate only). The ARA plugin menus have been simplified to make using them easier to use for all Pro Tools users. This update included several UI improvements including for macOS Dark UI Theme, a UI Customisation window. MIDI also saw updates for Operation Design Improvements and Plugin Processing Optimisation. Finally, there has been work done to improve the Video Engine’s performance and stability, for Pro Tools Studio and Ultimate only.

Pro Tools 2025.10 delivers support for Sony 360 Reality Audio—an immersive music format using Sony’s object-based 360 Spatial Sound technology that lets you place sounds above or below, in front, to the side, or behind to bring fans right to the centre of an elevated musical experience. Pro Tools Studio and Ultimate customers receive a limited version of the Audio Futures WalkMix Panner and WalkMix 360RA Renderer plugins that let you mix and monitor 360 Reality Audio content directly inside your session. Quickly start your 360 Reality Audio mix from an existing Pro Tools Dolby Atmos session, with your stems and settings carrying over. Continue to mix and edit in both formats within the same session—no separate mastering software, render apps, or external QC process required.
