The DiGiCo SD10B digital mixer has been upgraded to fit the needs of broadcasters. Large TFT LCD touchscreens, 96kHz sample rates and Stealth Digital Processing and Super FPGA have gained DiGiCo’s consoles praise by engineers for their intuitive, analogue feel and easy- to-use GUI. Features such as built-in MADI (standard for all consoles), Mix-minus output per channel, with unique features such as input ‘Flexi’ channel and multichannel inputs make DiGiCo’s broadcast mixers a cost effective solution with enough busses to cope with the most demanding broadcast applications.

The latest SD10B console has been enhanced to offer more Dynamic EQ, Multiband Compressors and FX, plus the matrix increasing from a 16 x 12 to 16 x 16 and the addition of DiGiTuBes, Reorder of Busses and Multichannel inputs. It features 16 Dynamic EQ processors which are available simultaneously.

With may of the features found in it the larger SD7B, SD10B provides 96 channels with full processing, 12 of which are Flexi Channels that can be configured as mono or stereo, with full processing available in either mode, 48 assignable busses that offer multiple configurations, plus a stereo, LCR or 5.1 master buss and a complete 5.1 monitoring matrix with a 48 x 6 source to speaker selection.

The companion DiGiCo SD-Rack delivers up to 192kHz high resolution analogue conversion. That’s complemented by the powerful option of a fully integrated Waves Sound Grid, for a wealth of world-class, ultra-low-latency broadcast-specific effects.

The work surface is constructed from anodised aluminium, overlaid with polycarbonate with a giant 15 inch, digital, full colour TFT LCD touch sensitive screen that provides control of all the main console parameters, in addition to 37 full-length motorised faders with accompanying high resolution bar graph meters .A dedicated VGA port allows connection of an external Overview screen.

The SD10B’s snapshot feature provides global scope and snapshot specific recall, with the ability to crossfade up to eight specific parameters, and much more.
Local I/O on the rear of the console offers eight Mic inputs, eight Line outputs, eight Mono AES I/O, two MADI connections with redundant cabling connections, 16 GPI and GPO connections, – with the option to expand to 32 GPI and GPO, with Wordclock for synchronisation with external devices.
