The new MKE 600 shotgun microphone has been created with a high level of directivity to ensure that it picks up sound from the camera direction while avoiding unwanted background noise. Designed for optimised speech reproduction and high intelligibility, it features a switchable low-cut filter to minimise wind noise.

A shock mount with an integral flashmount adapter enables fixed connection to a video camera and the shock mount’s design aprevents handling. It can also be used on a microphone boom.

The MKE 600 can be powered by a standard AA battery and it comes fully equipped with a foam windshield that reduces wind noise by around 25 dB; the shock mount and a carrying case are also included. A blimp basket windshield (MZH 600) is also available as an optional accessory. A further option is a coiled connecting cable (KA 600) from an XLR-3 connector to a 3.5 mm jack plug.
