HHB reports record sales of Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tools HDX

Broadcast audio technology specialists HHB Communications and Scrub, a Soho-based division specialising in serving the post production industry, have announced record sales of Avid’s new Pro Tools HDX DAW and Pro Tools 10 software during the BVE London show at Earls Court 2 on Stand C40.

As Europe’s leading reseller of Avid Pro Tools systems, HHB and Scrub offer consultation, sales, installation, training and after-sales support for Pro Tools. Many of the UK’s leading broadcasters and post production facilities have already chosen to work with HHB and Scrub in planning and implementing their new installations and upgrades to the new HDX hardware. Although the new systems were recently launched at the end of 2011, HHB has already had enormous success with the products and are pleased to announce that early adopters include ITV’s Manchester and London studios, The Farm Group, Unit Media, Castle Rock, and Premier PR. These firms have noted the enhanced performance, improvements in sound quality and easier workflow collaboration of the new systems.

The launch of Pro Tools HDX facilitates the creation of bigger and more complex productions by delivering up to 5x more DSP per card, over a thousand dB of additional headroom, and up to 4x the track counts and 2x the I/O as Pro Tools HD Accel. Pro Tools 10 software is also a

major upgrade from its previous version, as it introduces several new tools and timesaving workflows. The new AAX (Avid Audio eXtension) plug-in format has also accompanied this release, which enables better workflow and sound parity when sharing sessions between DSP-accelerated and native-based Pro Tools systems.
