TC Electronic’s TouchMonitor TM7 and TM9 are fully-featured, stand-alone Stereo and Multichannel Loudness and True-Peak Level Metering solutions featuring a touch screen with flexible layout options, consistent loudness readout and compatibility with European, American and Japanese broadcasting standards.

Designed for broadcast (ingest and transmission), post and live production, TC TouchMonitor TM7 and TM9 provide 7-inch and 9-inch colour touch screens respectively. TM7 comes with 8 analog and 8 digital I/O, and you can choose between digital I/O on BNC (unbalanced AESid) or SUB-D (balanced) connectors. TM9 has a more comprehensive set of I/O options, including 16 analog balanced, 8 analog/8 digital (bal/unbal.) and 16 digital channels. A 3G SDI option is also available for TM9. Both the TM7 and TM9 can be expanded by installing optional software instruments (meter types) such as the Radar Display or upgrade to Multichannel Mode.

Software options explained:

Loudness and SPL Option - Expands the basic stereo PPM with Loudness measuring functions conforming to EBU R128, ITU BS.177 and ATSC A/85 loudness standards.

              

Loudness Radar Display Option - High resolution circular Loudness display for Momentary values and history, enhanced with numerical display of measuring time and Loudness range (LRA).

Multi-Channel Option - Expands routing to: Mono, Stereo, 3.1 Surround, 5.0 Surround, 5.1 Surround and Multichannel (2 to 8 channels in one block; up to 4 blocks with 3G SDI option).

Additional TouchMonitor options:

Real Time Analyser (£275 ex VAT) - This module provides a spectral distribution display with 31 bands for single channels, channel pairs or groups plus the HP HF band. 

Surround Sound Analyser (£455 ex VAT) -  A powerful tool for visualizing the interaction of all important parameters of surround signals. The dynamic behaviour of all display elements (House display) corresponds to the subjective listening impression, enabling you to see the balance of a surround programme intuitively and at a glance.

Premium PPM (£295 ex VAT) - This module expands the Basic Stereo PPM (standard software) with additional scales (Zoom, SMPTE, NHK, ARD+9, et al.) and functions (Peak Hold, Peak Memory, Over indicator). It also provides a 2-channel Audio Vectorscope and a separate phase meter.
