The SM 26 is a useful 6-to-2 line level mixer. It will accept 6 balanced or unbalanced line level inputs and an additional stereo Master Input allows a total of 8 inputs. In splitter mode, the SM 26B takes 1 or 2 line level inputs and splits these to any of the 6 mono outputs on the rear. The mix/pan controls in this mode control the level from each of the two input busses to be applied to each output. The mix output jacks act as an independent stereo out, allowing a total of 8 outputs. The SM 26B may also be used as a 6 input, 6 output buffer amplifier in which case signal applied to Input 1 is delivered to Output 1, and so on, and in a combination of modes at once.
