Studio equipment also includes the HHB CDR882 CD audio recorder and headphone distribution. The cable looms are specified to provide microphone and return tie-lines between the control room and live studio. An Apple MacPro computer with two 20” Cinema displays is also included. Control Room equipment and C24 is installed in AKA Design furniture, including 30U of rack space and glazed door to product acoustic isolation of the computer. Typically this equipment can be installed by HHB technical team in two days, this service as well as operator training is included in the package pricing. The key components, Digidesign hardware and the Mac Pro computer, are covered by three year warranty contract and ten sets of Digidesign course books is also included. The most affordable of the profiled packages is based around the C24 control surface and ProTools HD2. The C24 provides direct hands-on control of Pro Tools® mixing, recording, and editing and has an array of high-quality analogue inputs monitor section. Packaged with a separate M-Audio Octane microphone amplifier, the system is capable of recording up to 24 microphones and running sessions with over 96 audio and midi channels. Audio interfacing is provided by Digidesign 96 and 96i interfaces, providing 24 analogue inputs, 10 analogue as well as digital I/O ports. The system is specified for traditional stereo recording and mixing, but is equally suitable for composing with a large array of virtual instruments and soft synths.
