HHB's 8 channel, 24-bit/96kHz PORTADRIVE Location Sound Recorder is to be beta tested in October/November, with 10 pre-production units being put through their paces by experienced sound recordists around the world. Full production will commence in November with the first units shipping in December.
The PORTADRIVE combines 8-track recording on a removable hard drive, simultaneous recording of rushes to an external drive, sophisticated on-board mixing, comprehensive timecode facilities and flexible session-based file transfer with Mac and PC workstations.
