HHB adds DVD-RAM to Advanced Media Products range

As excitement over DVD-RAM grows, audio recording media specilist HHB has anticipated the adoption of the format in the coming generation of digital audio recorders by announcing a high-performance 5.2GB disc, the HHB DVD-RAM5.2GB.

Commenting on the launch, HHB Sales Director Steve Angel said: "We've taken a close look at DVD-RAM and feel that the speed, capacity and durability of the medium offers significant advantages to professional audio users. It's already ideal as a removable back-up for DAW files, and we feel confident that pro audio hardware manufacturers will also adopt the DVD-RAM format."

To ensure the exacting specifications applied right across the HHB Advanced Media Products range, the new DVD disc uses the latest thin film technology to achieve more than 100,000 erase / write / read cycles, and a stable archival period in excess of 30 years.

"Professionals look to HHB to supply consistently high performing recording media across all formats" continues Angel. "Like DAT, CD-R, MD and MO before it, we have a responsibility to there from the beginning with DVD-RAM."
