In response to customer requests for shorter length recording media, HHB has announced 30 and 60 minute versions of its popular DA113 DTRS tape. Like the original 113 minute tape, the HHB DA30 and DA60 provide users of the Tascam DA88 and its derivatives with secure, high performance recording media, specially developed to withstand the continuous shuttling and re-recording necessary in the multitrack recording and film dubbing processes.
A Hi-Packing metal particle recording layer delivers exceptional head wear characteristics, and a carrier to noise ratio of 54dB, while a specially formulated binder ensures a negligible drop in output after repeated playback cycles - less than 0.5dB after 100 passes. A strong, yet flexible base film is used to eradicate stretching and snapping, and a precision moulded shell results in smooth tape handling and packing.
Commenting on the launch of the new tapes, HHB Sales Director Steve Angel said: "Not all projects require a full 113 minute record time and our customers were increasingly requesting shorter record times. The new DA30 and DA60 will enable them to match the tape length to the project, minimising costly tape wastage."
The DA30 and DA60 tapes join an HHB Advanced Media Product range that now encompasses DAT, CD-R, MD, MD Data, MO, ADAT, DTRS and DVD-RAM formats.
